The interactive satellite session, "Self-testing and self-sampling interventions to increase access to care: current status and way forward," will reflect on and summarize the experiences of self-testing implementation to establish a roadmap for future activities. This session will actively engage panellists and participants in discussions and foster an interactive environment. Self-testing (ST) has already been implemented and evaluated in various countries, different populations and for multiple diseases - HIV, HCV, and COVID-19. By leveraging existing evidence, we aim to identify the next priorities for self-testing and capitalize on past experiences to effectively apply it in other disease areas and to respond to health emergencies. During this satellite session, global and national experts will share their insights on ST pipeline, policy development and adoption, tailoring self-testing services for specific populations, and offer reflections on different use cases. We will also explore methods for monitoring and linking self-testing to national healthcare systems, as well as strategies for utilizing digital solutions and improving linkage to care. Satellite session will have two panel discussions and a round table with a Q&A session.
