The HIV epidemic in Eastern Europe and Central Asia is at a crisis point. It is the only region where both new HIV infections and AIDS-related deaths have increased over the past decade. To end the HIV epidemic globally by 2030, we must end it in EECA. This goal is still in reach, but only if we act now. RADIAN, a collaboration between Gilead Sciences and the Elton John AIDS Foundation, is supporting community organisations in EECA to make a meaningful, lasting impact and change the trajectory of the epidemic. This session brings together community leaders from across the EECA region, who will highlight the urgent need for greater action in the region, discuss strategies to achieve change, and share their experiences responding to the world’s fastest-growing HIV epidemic.
